The steps behind astral projection and learning how to achieve astral travel successfully can be difficult. The reason why, is simple. We make astral projection more difficult then it really is to do. Our minds have an uncanny ability to over analyze everything. The main reason why we do so is often because we fear going outside of our comfort zones. Experiencing new things and new sensations is not something a lot of people consciously enjoy doing, and is the main reason why a lot of us not only make trying new things more difficult then they really are, but over analyze the idea to the point that we believe the scenario inside our heads. The same is true for a lot of people who have tried astral projection and failed. They rationalize out in their minds that just because they couldn’t achieve success on the first few attempts that astral projection is not possible.
However this is not the case. For example, where most people “hit a wall” when attempting astral travel is that point where they begin to feel the sensations emerging, but because the body is fully relaxed it becomes easy for stray thoughts to enter our minds at this crucial stage. Because it is so easy in a fully relaxed state to grab unto these stray thoughts, rather then focusing on the emerging sensations of astral travel, the next thing we know we land up experiencing more of a deep sleep day dream, then actually succeeding at astral projection. It is for this reason that I thought I would give you 3 secrets that can help you break the barriers you might have previously experienced so that you can achieve success tonight.
1. Manage Your Physical World. This secret to astral projection is about the steps we take before we begin our attempt. Make sure you will not be disturbed during your exercise. Nothing can be more distracting then reaching those early sensations, only to have someone come in the room and blow your efforts. Also if your feeling stressed, take the time before you attempt astral travel to reduce your stress levels. Stress can have a big role in your success. By taking some time ahead of your session to think about the stresses in your life and relaxing and reducing their impact in your life can help you be more in tune.
2. Proper Meditation. In order for you to be able to successfully astral travel you must have your body 100% relaxed, not 98% not even 99%. Astral projection is not something can you do right away. It takes time to consider, it takes time to fully relax the body, it takes time to focus on the effort. A lot of people report that their first out of body experiences only lasted about 3 seconds so don’t get discouraged, and take your time. When you reach that fully relaxed state, the secret lies in focusing on that sinking feeling. Whether you make yourself feel like you are floating downward or walking down a flight of steps, it does not matter, anything will work as long as you feel like you are sinking. Be careful not to fall asleep as you do this or let stray thoughts jump into your mind.
3. Use an Aid. It has been shown that astral projection takes place when the mind is able to achieve certain brain wave frequencies. It takes practice and time in order to develop the habit of achieving these astral projection frequencies. The best way to do this is to use an aid designed to help you reach that magic state of the mind faster and easier. You do this though the use of binaural beats. Binaural beats are recordings that are designed to help the mind reach the frequencies that make astral projection possible faster and easier and also aid you in maintaining and keeping that focused sinking feeling.
If you practice and focus on these 2 simple secrets you will find it a lot easier to reach those sensations of early astral projection. After that the whole trick is to just let go. Create a sense of floating or sinking for yourself, but don’t force your body out. The way you are going to accomplish something is to just do it. Ask yourself, “What is it like to be out of body?” Even if you have never been out of body, use your imagination. Once you imagine what it is like to be out of body then you can focus on that and nothing else.
